Do Not Lean on Your Own Understanding

Do Not Lean on Your Own Understanding

Life was not working for me. At least not on the inside. It was like I was two separate persons, one that I showed to the world, and one hidden, deeply wounded soul, desperate to be accepted and loved, but even God didn’t appear to be interested in that lost soul within.

How wrong I was in that assessment!

I simply didn’t know God. I didn’t know his thoughts. I didn’t know his ways. I didn’t know the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. I didn’t know the love of God. I didn’t know the fellowship of Holy Spirit. I was too busy trying to obey rules and work hard to make myself good.

When I finally gave up and stopped, I was given a new path.

Be still, and know that I am God.

I redirected my effort to being still and knowing that God is God. My wounded soul has been in process of healing ever since.

I’ve recorded some of the things that God has made known to me about himself and myself in hopes that others might find new life in learning to be still and knowing God, experiencing the presence of Grace, Love, Fellowship.

Whether or not this is a path that works for you, I pray that you will find the path that enables you to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sharon
